Feng Shui Class

Yipee... I am going for a Feng Shui class this weekend. Hahaha, finally I can polish up my Flying Stars knowledge. It's a neverending learning path and a lifetime is still not enough. Just realised that Mastery Academy was conducting their Bazi Module 3 class in the same venue during the that few days too and Joey Yap was the instructor. What coincidence to have two masters in the same place and same day.

Regards

Happy Learning. Questions you may want to ask. Is flying star feng shui? 'Wind water' talks about the environment, the land and water. How does flying star fit into this Wind water?

Hi, thanks for your comment. Yes, its true. Land forms and water always comes first. But very few people teaches that nowdays especially in Singapore. Maybe have to go other countries to learn Luan Tou.

Wow! A lot of masters around reading your blog. Me as an apprentice is frighten!!

Such a deep question!!
Are they asking "Is gong fu martial art? "Merit Husband" talks about spouse and achievement. How does gong fu fit in this martial art?

Or they are asking is Li Qi same as Luan Tuo?

I don’t know if any masters is reading my blog but its just my own rambling on the subject and nothing worthy here.

Hi,

Maybe you can take a look at my post about feng shui books:

so-far.html

It is not comprehensive but can give you a head start.

RLo is a reputable Master. I think in the class, u will learn more than Shen's Flying star but also Xuan Kong.

If u can, tell us abt RLo's view of the purple white script.

sorry - that was me - jeremyk.

Hi jeremyk,

Thanks for the comment. Master RLo did not mention anything about the Purple White script in his class. His analysis is based on the functionality and structure of the area and focus on the relevant Flying Star from there onwards. There is much less emphasis to the meanings of the Star combinations which on the other hand is widely covered in the Purple White script.

In my opinion, many aspects of interpretation are not talked about in the Purple White script. While the combinations and their effects are mentioned, less is mentioned on the physical aspect, timeliness aspect and usage of the specific palace. I believe it was written not for the layman but for students under a Master’s guidance who will then reveal the conditions required for the effects to manifest.

Bai Heming from HK have written a great commentary to the Purple White script but it is only available in Chinese.

From my learning, I am convinced that Shen's method was developed from the lower script which makes it limited in application. Of course, there r diff views on this, but Masters are very protective of their lineage "keys" and views to others unless u attend their classes.

Hi Alvin,

Since you've read many books, so I believe you will be in a good position to discern the quality of the course you've taken with RLo. In your opinion, do you think you have gain additional knowledge from the course?

Alvin Chua said...

Hi,

Taking RLo's class is like tying up the loose ends, you learn to prioritise your knowledge. It complements the readings you have learn from. If you take it without any basic, you can only reap much lesser since the duration is short and not beneficial if he have to dwell longer on the basics.

Hi Alvin,

Would you recommend anyone to take this course? Will you continue to study with RLo for advance level? Why?
