In Conflict with the Tai Sui

Recently, I have the opportunity to have in my hands the details of a victim in a fatal traffic accident. So, I decided to calculate her Bazhi and see the astrological cause of her death.

To my surprise, she was born in the year of the cow and is thus in indirect conflict with the Tai Sui of year 2005 (Xing Tai Sui). She met with the accident on the sixth day of the Chinese New Year (2 Feb 2006). She was the pillion rider on her boyfriend’s bike, which crashed into a car at a cross-junction. Although it was already the beginning of the new lunar year, it was actually the last day of the previous year (2005) based on the Li Chun day (Start of Spring) in the Thousand Year Calender. Thus the day of accident was the last day she is in conflict with the Tai Sui, unfortunately, she did not manage to escape even till the few final hours before the Tai Sui changes.

Teresa Teng, the famous Chinese singer in the 60s and 70s, too died from an asthma attack in the year which her zodiac sign (birth year earth branch) was in opposing conflict (Zhong Tai Sui) with the reigning Tai Sui.

In a forum i read recently, Master Joseph Yu (Canada) mentioned that this concept of Tai Sui is superstitious and not accurate. He reasons that those who studies Bazhi will know that the Chinese zodiac sign (birth year earth branch) is only 1/8 of the birth chart, thus it is too general to have any significance. Furthermore, there are so many people born into the same year and it is too silly to believe that all of them will suffer ill luck shall their birth signs be in conflict with the Tai Sui. Hmmm... I cannot deny the fact that the man is right and logical. But what about Raymond Lo? He, on the contrary, believes otherwise and takes it into consideration when doing Bazhi analysis. Who is right then? Oh well, what the hell...
